Custom Software & AI Automation Built to Scale Your Business

If your business is still running on spreadsheets, sticky notes, or software that was already outdated the day it launched, that's costing you real hours every week, and probably real money too. I design and build custom AI automation and internal software for small businesses, startups, and local enterprises across McAllen, the Rio Grande Valley, and Texas that fit how you actually work, not the other way around.

Whether you need an MVP solid enough to show investors, an AI agent that qualifies leads while you sleep, or an internal tool that hands your team back 15 hours a week, it all comes down to one thing: does it help you keep and grow your customers. Every engagement is scoped, documented, and delivered by the same engineer who wrote the code — not passed between account managers and subcontractors.

  • Custom full stack web development services in the Rio Grande Valley building fast, scalable, SEO optimized websites for businesses

    Custom Web Development

High-performance, SEO-optimized web applications built natively with Next.js, React, and TypeScript — the same stack that powers this site. No page builders, no bloated plugins, no theme you're renting from someone else.

Perfect for startups, SaaS MVPs, and growing McAllen and RGV brands needing reliable, fast, and scalable digital storefronts.

    Custom AI Agents

Action-oriented AI agents, custom RAG systems, and workflow automation that actively process data and execute multi-step tasks — qualifying leads, updating records, and routing work without someone babysitting it.

Ideal for RGV and Texas teams ready to move beyond basic chatbots into agents that turn hours of manual labor into minutes.

Modernize Your Business With Custom Software and AI Workflows

Solutions from 10 years ago can slow down your growth. I offer AI automation and software development services that increase the productivity of your business, in addition to eliminating operational bottlenecks.

Whether you need to automate certain tasks or systems, or need a platform to meet your goals for this year, I am here to deliver on that. Through the use of modern technologies and solutions, I help your business grow in terms of revenue, while also scaling your internal capacity without scaling your headcount.

Who This Is For

Small Businesses

You're the ones actually keeping this valley running. I use my software engineering background to take the manual busywork off your plate, the stuff that's quietly costing you revenue, your team's time, and honestly, your sanity — missed calls, unqualified leads, and follow-up that never happens.

Local Enterprises & Startups

You've outgrown what a spreadsheet or a patchwork of disconnected tools can handle. I come in as the technical partner who'll look at what you've got, tell you honestly what's actually broken, and build the fix — not the version that padds a bigger agency's timeline.

Founders

You've got the vision. I build the system underneath it that actually holds together: strategy, customer retention, and something that scales past your first hundred customers without falling apart under its own weight.

Why Work With an Independent AI & Software Engineer

Working with a solo studio means one thing an agency can't offer: the person who scopes your project is the same person who writes the code, tests it, and answers the phone if something goes wrong. There's no handoff between sales, a project manager, and an offshore development team — which is usually where scope drifts and timelines slip.

That comes with a background, not just a pitch: a BS in Computer Engineering from UTRGV, an AS in Computer Science from South Texas College, and a 2024 Headstarter AI fellowship focused on applied AI product development. Every system is built on the same production stack I use daily — Next.js, TypeScript, React, Python, FastAPI, and modern AI infrastructure (Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI embeddings, Pinecone) — not a no-code tool wrapped in a sales page.

Every engagement ends with documentation: how the system works, how to make common changes yourself, and how to reach me directly if something needs attention after launch. You're not left holding a black box.

Development Lifecycle

Initial Consult

As part of the process, I set up the initial meeting to get an idea of who you are, what your goals are, and what your long-term vision is. This is crucial to understanding how the development system is going to be structured based on your requirements and how you plan to implement the product.

Plan/Strategy Discussion

After gathering your requirements, I make a plan on how to approach solving your problem. The plan will be based on the discussions made in the initial consult. It will be presented in writing to ensure transparency on the scope of the project before proceeding with development.

Prototype Development

Once the plan has been agreed to and signed, I begin development on a prototype using the requirements set forth in the document. This will be used as a proof of concept to help catch errors that can present themselves during the actual development and deployment process.

Prototype Presentation

The prototype is presented after initial testing and validation has been performed on the product. The goal is to gather feedback from you to ensure that it meets your requirements and vision of your product before proceeding to the next stage, which is developing it for a production environment.

Development and Testing

After the prototype's requirements have been fulfilled, it is transported into a production-ready system. A more extensive round of unit and integration tests are applied to ensure that the product is reliable, secure, and ready to be utilized by real users.

Final Presentation & Deployment

We do a final presentation of the product, and subsequently go live. I handle the deployment to your environment, and the project is handed off to you and your team, who will receive a manual and training to ensure that they understand how the configurations and other crucial project details work.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does custom AI automation cost for a small business in the Rio Grande Valley?+

It depends on scope, but most RGV small-business engagements fall into two categories: a focused automation (one workflow, like lead intake or scheduling) that can be scoped and quoted after a single consult, or a larger internal system (a CMS, a payroll tool, a multi-step AI agent) that gets a written proposal with a fixed scope before any code is written. You'll always know the price and the deliverable before development starts — no hourly guessing games.

What's the difference between AI automation and a chatbot?+

A chatbot answers questions. AI automation takes an action — qualifying a lead, updating a record, generating a report, routing a request to the right person — without a human doing it manually. Most of what I build for RGV and Texas businesses is the second kind: agents that read data, make a decision inside defined rules, and complete a task end-to-end.

Do I need to replace my current software to add AI automation?+

Usually not. Most automation work integrates with what you're already running — your CRM, your spreadsheet, your booking tool — rather than ripping it out. Replacement only makes sense when the underlying system itself is the bottleneck, which is a separate conversation from adding automation on top of it.

How long does it take to build a custom AI agent or internal tool?+

A single-workflow automation is typically weeks, not months. A full internal system — like a custom CMS or payroll platform — follows the six-stage lifecycle below, with a working prototype for you to react to well before final development, so nothing about the finished system is a surprise.

What happens if something breaks after the project ships?+

Every project includes a documented handoff: how the system works, how to make common changes, and how to reach me if something needs attention. Because I build and maintain what I ship — instead of handing you off to a support queue — issues get diagnosed by the person who actually wrote the code.

Do you work with businesses outside McAllen and the RGV?+

Yes. McAllen is home base, but the same process supports businesses across Hidalgo, Cameron, and Starr counties, and increasingly Austin and Travis County as the studio expands. Development and delivery are remote-friendly; the initial consult can be in person or over a call.
